Company History
This family owned and operated company started production in 1953. Over the years, Mr Bob O'Connor has designed and built innovative products for use in the shopfitting industry.
Indeed, it was in 1955 that the company manufactured the first hangsell hook for Woolworths Ltd and continued to do so for over 50 years. This was recognised by Woolworths Ltd with an "Award of Appreciation" on the celebration of 50 years of service.
The first supermarket fit out was at the Big Bear complex situated in Neutral Bay, Sydney, where the company manufactured the very first supermarket trolleys and the wire baskets used in this supermarket's innovative conveyor line which took the customers purchases from the store to the car park for collection.
This type of innovation has continued over the years with continual creative change to meet the industry's changing needs - such as new designs in gondolas, display wall, acrylic displays, metal fittings and the easy "Shop in a Box" concept.
It cannot be understated that the reliability and quality of the products have certainly stood the test of time and continues to demonstrate functionality, suitability and durability.
Long term major customers continue - Best & Less, Dixon & Swanson, Premier Displays and Electus to name a few.
The company remains today as a family company with Bob's grandsons managing each of the manufacturing sectors - Michael Boyle (Metal work factory).
